The most beautiful Paris homes in the world may have to be those that can be bought for a fraction of their original cost, according to new research.
The French capital has more than a million home owners who have spent a fortune on a property, according a new study by French real estate firm Apartment-Builder.
The most expensive home in Paris is the $5.8 million home in the 18th arrondissement in the 11th district of the city, but that is a far cry from the $16.9 million home the authors of the study estimated in New York.
The research looked at the average price for a single-family home in France between January 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017.
The average price in Paris was $12,945 in January and $14,084 in February, according the study, published by the French real-estate magazine Le Parisien.
Apartment-builder also calculated the average cost of a house in France.
Its data shows that the average value of a home sold in France in January was $7,000.
The Paris home that was the most expensive in Paris in 2017 was the home in Broussard, a wealthy neighborhood of the 10th district in the 9th arresside of the capital.
That home sold for $9.5 million in 2018.
That home is now in foreclosure, Apartment in Paris said.
The study found that the most-expensive Paris home was the house in the 14th arrasse, which has a median price of $10 million.
The home is listed for sale for $12.9m, Apéritif said.
Other pricey Paris homes include the property in St. Georges-Saint-Eustache that was worth $16 million and the home that sold for a whopping $36.5m in 2014.
That house sold for almost $60 million in 2015.
A house in Saint-Domingue, a suburb of Paris, was listed for $22.5million in January 2017.
The cheapest home in French is in the 12th district, where it was estimated to cost $2.8m in January.
